HANDGUN COURSES
COMBAT HANDGUN I W/ SHOOTHOUSE OPS
(Beginner/Refresher)
This course takes shooters from the basics up through the defensive use of the handgun in a safe and controlled environment. If you’re a civilian who has never fired a gun before or haven’t shot in a long time, this is the course for you. But it's also a very popular "refresher" course for professional shooters--like active police and military personnel--because it breaks them of any bad habits, while increasing their speed and accuracy. Class size is kept small and there is a high instructor-to-student ratio, so you will feel as if you are in a semi-private lesson. In addition to combat handgun skills, you will also train in our police/military shoothouse.
Note: You do NOT need to own a handgun to participate. One will be provided at a nominal charge.
Your training will include:
Safe gun handling
Marksmanship - hitting your target fast and accurately
Holster presentations - presenting your weapon rapidly
Controlled pairs - dramatically increasing follow-up shots and rate of fire
Shooting from the “ready position” (the most often used combat position)
Tactical reloading and emergency reloading
After-action drills
Engaging multiple opponents
Shooting while moving
Basic house-clearing techniques*
COMBAT HANDGUN SKILLBUILDER
W/ SHOOTHOUSE OPS
(Intermediate/Advanced)
This is a shooting-under-pressure combat handgun course. Expect high-speed presentations from a holster against single and multiple opponents, at varying distances. The objective is to increase your speed while maintaining your accuracy, to increase your ability to think tactically while under pressure, and to increase your shooting while moving capabilities.
Note: You do NOT need to own a handgun to participate. One will be provided at a nominal charge.
Your training will include:
Speed drills
Advanced move-and-shoot scenarios.
Assault courses
Hostage head shots and failure to stop drills
Tactical and emergency reloads under pressure
House-clearing ops*
CLOSE QUARTERS BATTLE (“CQB”) W/ SHOOTHOUSE OPS (Intermediate/Advanced)
Most fights occur within three-to-five yards, with your opponent having already drawn his weapon. This means that a standard two-hand hold isn't always happening. Sometimes, there simply isn’t the time or the space for it. You're getting an intermediate shot off or—if he's moving quickly toward you—a close-contact shot. Your only hope of survival is to see the fight coming and be prepared. The objective is to be able to shoot accurately, at close-range, without the use of your sights. This is a "point shooting" as well as a two-hand hold shooting course. Shooters will warm-up with a two-hand hold, so they can learn to safely transition from a single-hand hold to a two-hand hold when the need arises.

Your training will include:
Single-hand and two-hand presentations from a holster
Engaging multiple opponents in move-and-shoot scenarios
Close-contact and intermediate engagements from all angles
Assault courses utilizing CQB skills and the standard two-hand hold.
Two-hand hold and “point shooting” in the shoothouse*
FIGHTING FROM CONCEALMENT W/ SHOOTHOUSE OPS
(Intermediate to Advanced)
This is a combined two-part course taught in one three-hour segment. The first part will be lecture and demonstration. The second part will be a shooting-from-concealment combat handgun course. You will be drawing-from-concealment against single and multiple opponents, both on the firing line and in the shoothouse. Dress as you would for concealment (ex. sport jacket or blazer).
Note: You do NOT need to own a handgun or a concealment holster to participate.
These will be provided at a nominal charge.
Your training will include:
Lecture/Demo re concealment holsters
Lecture/Demo re techniques for professionally carrying a concealed weapon
Lecture regarding best concealment handguns
Training to draw and fire from concealment
Urban combat and house-clearing ops from concealment*
COMBAT HANDGUN W/ SPEED DRILLS, URBAN TACTICS & SHOOTHOUSE OPS
(Advanced)
This is a fast-paced combat handgun course utilizing the police/military shoothouse and surrounding outdoor urban combat zone. Expect single-operator fast assaults against multiple opponents at varying distances, while moving. Emphasis will be placed on survival tactics, speed and accuracy.
Note: You do NOT need to own a handgun to participate. One will be provided at a nominal charge.
Your training will include:
Advanced marksmanship techniques
“Failure to Stop” drills and hostage headshots at speed
Complex move-and-shoot scenarios
Tactical use of cover
Timed speed drills
Advanced house-clearing ops*
COMBAT HANDGUN W/ NIGHT OPS
(Advanced)
Civilians, police, and military personnel all share the same modern-day reality: the majority of attacks and lethal confrontations occur either at night or in low-light conditions. To be proficient with your handgun at night, against armed adversaries, you must become skilled with either a weapon-mounted light or with one of the various combat flashlight techniques.
Note: You do NOT need to own a handgun or any night ops equipment to participate. These will be provided at a nominal charge.
Your training will include:
Utilizing the “Harries” combat flashlight technique
High speed and simultaneous presentation of handgun and light to opponent
Low-light search tactics
Movement against adversaries in low-light situations
Engaging multiple opponents in low-light and no-light conditions
Weapon mounted light training
Light shield techniques
Blind tactical and emergency reloads
Blind malfunction clearances
Nighttime door breaching and entry techniques
Low-light room and building search scenarios*
ADVANCED URBAN COMBAT
(Highly Advanced)
This is an extremely high-speed Combat Handgun Course. Assault Rifles are also welcome. You will shoot between 300-400 rounds during this course. Expect high-speed drills from every angle and every position, expansive urban combat engagements utilizing the police/military shoothouse* and surrounding urban combat areas, single operator and two-man team assaults, “judgment training” and hostage situations. Everything from “CQB” to long range precision shots—coupled with advanced tactics. Be prepared to push your limits, build your gun-fighting skills, and increase your urban awareness.
RIFLE COURSES
AR-15 INTRODUCTORY COURSE
(Beginner/Refresher)
You will learn how to shoot the AR-15 weapon system fast and accurately, both in static situations and in move-and-shoot scenarios. Whether you currently own an AR-15 or are intent on buying one, this course will teach you how to set it up properly and how to safely operate it in a hostile environment.
Note: You do NOT need to own an AR to participate. One will be provided at a nominal charge.
Your training will include:
Basic operation of the assault rifle
Various weapon configurations and sling configurations
Advanced optics options – the pros and cons of each type
Combat rifle fighting stances and after-action drills
Combat rifle presentations from all angles

COMBAT RIFLE W/ URBAN TACTICS & SHOOTHOUSE OPS
(Intermediate/Advanced)
This combat rifle course is designed to increase your speed while maintaining accuracy in both static situations and while moving through urban areas.

(Intermediate to Advanced)
This course combines advanced conbat rifle techniques with advanced urban tactics. You will train to think tactically and to transition between weapon systems while engaged in urban combat scenarios.
Note: You do NOT need to own either an AR or a handgun to participate. All weapons will be provided at a nominal charge.
Your training will include:
High-speed engagements against single and multiple opponents
Move-and-shoot scenarios and assault courses
Close-contact engagements and extended range drills
Urban tactics
Rifle engagements from 5 yards to 100 yards
Single operator assaults in urban combat scenarios
Team tactics in land warfare and urban combat scenarios
Land warfare movement and leap-frog advances.
COMBAT RIFLE W/ LAND WARFARE & URBAN TACTICS
(Advanced)
This combat rifle course combines advanced rifle techniques with land warfare exercises and urban tactics.
Note: You do NOT need to own an AR to participate. One will be provided at a nominal charge.
Your training will include:
High-speed move-and-shoot scenarios and assault courses
Hostage head shots at speed
Advanced urban tactics and house-clearing ops*
Rifle engagements from 5 yards to 100 yards with multiple opponents per engagement
High-speed (timed-fire) engagements on multiple opponents
Single operator assaults in urban combat scenarios
Team tactics in land warfare and urban combat scenarios
Barrier drills
Land warfare movement and leap-frog advances across rough terrain
SHOTGUN COURSES
COMBAT SHOTGUN
(Beginner/Refresher)
The combat shotgun is an extremely misunderstood weapon. Even some professionals who should be good with it are not. And most civilians just own a shotgun, with no concept of how to use it in combat. But, for the few who master the combat shotgun, it is the most devastating close-range defensive weapon in the world. It is even superior to the sub-machine gun in many ways. These capabilities are only available to the trained operator however—for everyone else it is just a shotgun. When you finish this course, you will have the training and techniques necessary to master this weapon system.
Note: You do NOT need to own a shotgun to participate. One will be provided at a nominal charge. When you register, please state whether you would like to be trained on a pump shotgun or on a semi-auto shotgun.

Engagements against single and multiple opponents
Move-and-shoot scenarios and assault courses

COMBAT SHOTGUN SKILLBUILDER

This course is designed to significantly increase your skills with the combat shotgun, including your ability to think tactically and respond quickly.
Note: You do NOT need to own a shotgun to participate. One will be provided at a nominal charge. When you register, please state whether you would like to be trained on a pump shotgun or on a semi-auto shotgun.
Your training will include:
Engagements against single and multiple opponents
Move-and-shoot scenarios and assault courses
Close-contact engagements and review of extended range (select-slug) drills
Tactical and emergency reloads under pressure
Fighting from cover and urban combat
COMBAT SHOTGUN W/ TRANSITIONS BETWEEN WEAPON SYSTEMS
(Advanced)
This combat shotgun and handgun course trains you to think tactically and transition between weapon systems while engaged in urban combat scenarios.
Note: You do NOT need to own either a shotgun or a handgun to participate. All weapons will be provided at a nominal charge. When you register, please state whether you would like to be trained on a pump shotgun or on a semi-auto shotgun.
Your training will include:
High-speed engagements against single opponents
High-speed engagements against multiple opponents
Advanced assault courses
Close-contact engagements at speed
Tactical and emergency reloads at speed
Urban Tactics
Transitions between weapon systems (shotgun/handgun)
IMPORTANT: American Defense Enterprises, Inc. reserves the right to refuse to train any person for any reason, at any time, so as to provide the safest and most comfortable firearms environment possible. All courses require pre-approval for safety. Only safe and course-compatible weapons will be permitted.
*Please Note: Training in the police/military shoothouse is never 100% guaranteed on any day. Preference is given to active military and police units, and sometimes the shoothouse is under construction or otherwise being utilized. If the shoothouse isn’t available on the day you train, ADE instructors will set up complex assault courses to provide you with the same training opportunities.
